Today has already been a momentous day for Milkface. Here it is:
Little One licking from a dish! This is the first time that she has eaten from something other than a bottle. She is just amazing how she shows us that she'll do things when the time is right - for her. We'd been trying to get her to eat a little on her own, but she was very stubborn about it - she always just waited for the bottle.
This morning she was crawling about on my desk, when she started licking the bottle of KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement) all on her own. I quickly pulled the lid off of the powdered KMR can and used it as her dish. I put a little KMR in the dish, put the bottle into her mouth for her to get the taste of it, and then brought the bottle down to the dish. She went right to licking!
If you watch the picture closely, you can actually see the KMR disappearing off of the dish! Once again - way to go Little One!
